Cliff Hatt of Zinkwazi gives thanks for support: Darnall Zamani Orphans Outreach continues to look after 17 homes and their Gogos who care for 42 orphaned children in the small village of Zamani alongside Darnall.
Our Zinkwazi committee would like to offer heartfelt thanks to Darnall Golf Club for their donation of R8000 which was raised at their golf day.
This goes a great distance in covering food distribution costs, school clothing and catering for general caring needs.
This past Saturday we treated the children and their Gogos to their annual beach outing at Black Rock Park in Zinkwazi.
The children had the time of their lives swimming, playing soccer and ‘tug-of war’ and being spoiled as best possible with boerewors rolls, cakes, sweets, ice-cream, cooldrinks – and more swimming!
We would like to pay tribute to the many unsung heroes who always help foster the joy that is so evident on the day. Darnall Motor Transport (DMT) provide a bus at no charge, Tongaat Hulett paid for food costs for approximately 75 persons, parents and children of Sunshine Pre-primary School provided Christmas T-shirt gifts to the orphans plus sweet and cooldrinks, Spar KwaDukuza provided delicious cakes and cup-cakes, Zinkwazi Beach Café helped out in whatever way, Zinkwazi Lifesavers make themselves available – and volunteers from both Zinkwazi and Darnall gave of their time in one way or another to make the day special for the children.
Thanks be to God for a perfect morning where people of all colours could share joy and fun where and when possible.
