Dave Williams of Ballito decries poor management:
Cyril Ramaphosa is desperately trying to get entrepreneurs from overseas countries to invest in South Africa so that we can get employment for our people, particularly the youth.
However, besides corruption, poor management by well-paid executives in numerous disciplines such as toll roads, postal services and driver licence renewal, to name but a few, is having a negative effect on overseas investors.
Maybe when he came into power Ramaphosa should have done what has occurred in Zimbabwe because of no money; which was to reduce the numbers of well paid but poor performing government executives!
This probably would have produced sufficient funds to contribute to free tertiary education for our youth!
People having poor service should follow up and try and get the names of those responsible who told Denis Aspden (‘Six months delay,’ Letters, January 11) that his driver’s licence renewal would only take four to six weeks.
This might not be the person responsible for the delay but this person would report to his/her superior that he/she was being negatively influenced by publications in the media.
Copies of the publication should be sent to President Ramaphosa so that corrective action can be taken and maybe get rid of a well-paid government executive.
