Letter: Spray that hole!

I drove along Garland Drive in Salt Rock the other day and witnessed a white lady spray painting around a nasty pot-hole.

Neil Carlson of Sheffield commends a public-spirited citizen:

A recent letter to the editor (Fill that hole, January 11) suggested that the “powers that be” were wasting their time and money spray painting white circles around certain potholes in Salt Rock.

The writer asked why the time spent by the officials could not be spent on actually filling in the holes, rather than in drawing them to our attention with white spray paint.

I drove along Garland Drive in Salt Rock the other day and witnessed a white lady spray painting around a nasty pot-hole.

I doubt that she was employed by the “powers that be” to do this work.

I believe that she was a community minded individual, doing a great service for the motorists.

Well done to her!
