DA Councillor and CPF chairman Roy Naidoo of Darnall writes:
We live in an increasingly brutal and sadistic world, where satanic monsters heartlessly gun down precious souls.
We are not safe in our own homes, roads and in our own country.
The murders are a chilling reminder that our highways are not impervious to violent crime.
The epitome of this mindless violence are beastly acts of savagery which have soared dramatically, engulfing the entire country.
We are forced to live under the “shadow of death” , in a landscape that is characterised by fiendish killers in human garb , who totally and utterly show contempt for human life and fearless disrespect for the rule of law.
The inalienable right to life of every innocent human being in a constitutive element of civil society.
What we are witnessing is a full scale frontal assault on liberty and freedom. Which was not happening in the past.
Endemic brutal crime is enslaving us all, forcing us to live under siege. The tentacles of the crime octopus are spreading at an alarming pace. And it devours innocent souls.
Violent criminals must be made to know that the entire country is against them.
For it is among us the living that we could become the next victims of brutal and untimely death.
We cannot call ourselves a civilised society and be content to allow these grotesque marauders to continue to batter us into submission.
It is so painful and unfair that these criminals , after terrorising communities, are whisked off to the “five star hotels” we now call prisons.
They are enjoying our tax money. Enough is enough.
I truly believe the entire nation must take a firm stand against those who violate the sanctity of life.
God bless South Africa.
