Thank you for publishing this article (New curriculum will “sexualise our children”, July 26, 2019). I am sure many, if not all, parents are unaware of what the DBE is planning to put in motion in our children’s LO classes.
Apart from the debate that can be had about the age at which a child should be informed about all the topics they want to introduce, what about parent’s rights to decide, how to broach such delicate topics with their children?
I feel quite powerless to make a stand against this, but as I write this, my blood is boiling, because it is not what I signed up for when it comes to educating my children!
If I can be so bold as to ask the parent’s of our community to not just let this happen without us making a stand.
