The heinous shootings in America that happened over the weekend, proves that terrorism can happen in your own back yard and the perpetrator is not confined to a particular religion as western media bombards viewers with.
According to Aljazeera, “Authorities said on Saturday the suspect was arrested outside a Walmart store, eight kilometres from a border checkpoint with Mexico. Police confirmed that a 21-year-old from Allen, Texas; Patrick Wood Crusius, a white male was the only person in custody. Police said he was believed to be the only shooter.”
The shooter even posted a manifesto online with the first sentence of the four-page document expressing support for the gunman who opened fire at two New Zealand mosques in March, killing 51 people.
