Letter: Watson highway litter

Imagine the first impression a tourist would have?

Kirstin Williams of Sheffield beach writes:

I drive in to Tongaat from Ballito once a week and am shocked at the disgusting litter lining our roads!

The section of road from the freeway in to Tongaat is lined with beautiful trees flowering on either side, but the litter is deep and disgusting all the way into town.

Tongaat is drowning in plastic.

Please, please can the parks and gardens department do something about this eyesore.

Supply more refuse bins and don’t allow them to overflow as they draw all sorts of rodents and with rodents come snakes and diseases.

Imagine the first impression a tourist would have?

Tongaat municipality, your residents deserve better.
