I have lived happily in this area, Salt Rock/Ballito/ Chaka’s etc. for a long time and always felt blessed.

Our children attended Lorraine Pre Primary when it was on the farm, and then the exceptional Umhlali Prep.

There is a lot that is good, even great about this place, so I should not have been surprised to find exceptional service right in the heart of the Dolphin Coast.

An injury resulting from a stupid fall caused me to call my very good reliable doctor, to find he was ill and off duty.

The wound could not wait so I called a friend from church who recommended Medicross – now Ballito Medical Centre.

Dr Bill van Dongen made an appointment on my behalf and my daughter drove me to Ballito – Dr Tess and the sister were waiting and raised their eyebrows when they saw the ugly wound.

Stitches followed and the healing began.

I am so impressed with the care, concern, friendliness and professionalism I experienced.

The wound is still being treated – lower leg injuries on older patients need time and care, but it is much improved.

Thanks Dr Tess, Michele and Debbie and all at Ballito Medical Centre!
