Letter: Mugabe betrayed Zimbabweans

Mugabe and the EFF have one thing in common: they too busy blaming the whites and apartheid for all their mistakes.

Zahir Danbar of Phoenix writes:

Mugabe is praised for standing up to West and chasing away white farmers. Have these Zimbabweans forgotten how he had them pushing wheel barrows with loads of useless dollars, or how they had no food, or the pain and hurt of leaving their Zimbabwe to go to other countries to work and make a life?

While he chased white farmers away, he had many more black Zimbabweans also leaving to go to better their lives in other countries including SA. Many of them are far better educated than some South Africans but work at manual labour. With all their studying etc they could not get jobs in Zimbabwe.

Zimbabwe went from bad to worse under Mugabe. Exactly what good did Robert Mugabe do or get for Zimbabwe and Zimbabweans in almost 39 years of fighting the West?

He spent much more time fighting the West than making Zimbabwe a better place than under white rule and got his people nothing but be made a joke of. Then they risked their lives to come to SA only to be attacked because of xenophobia and that they would work for far lower wages than South Africans.

Mugabe and the EFF have one thing in common: they too busy blaming the whites and apartheid for all their mistakes. Let’s not forget the Estina Farm rogues and much other corruption committed in democratic times, not white times.

In almost 39 years Mugabe blamed everyone but himself and he was a useless president. I hope the ANC and EFF learn from the effect of Mugabe’s land grab tactics on Zimbabwe.
