Letter: Response regarding N2 maintenance a joke

Another sad example of incompetence is the Tiffany's crossing shambles, and the 214 turnoff. Accidents are a regular occurrence, and people are being injured.

Denny Moffatt of Salt Rock writes:

Ravi Ronny’s response to the allegations made by Mr. Maharaj re the long outstanding completion of maintenance of the N2, is a joke (Tendering process behind N2 delays, September 20). He is in the wrong job if he really is involved in “Design Planning and Construction”.

He sets about blaming failure to perform on everyone but SANRAL, an organisation with which I am familiar. Say no more. When a contract is awarded, the appointed company must have the competence and financial capacity to do the job, or they cannot be considered.

Those concerned should stand up and take responsibility. Forget passing the buck… we have become tired of that.
