Far too many times while driving on the N2 I have had to brake suddenly as vehicles approaching the highway from an off-ramp believe that they have right of way and don’t even slow down. Surely every person knows to give way to the right! Also, to ensure that they do have ample time to enter the highway safely.
I have been driving in the ‘slow’ or left hand lane, with a car on my right, cars in front and cars behind me and vehicles entering the N2 just go, forcing me to brake suddenly and nearly stop and as a result stop or slow other vehicles behind me, whilst praying they don’t drive into me from behind!
Surely people know it’s a rule to only enter the main highway when safe and clear?
Many rude signs have been shown to me, windows opened and abuse shouted at me for not being able to stop on the highway to allow a vehicle in from an off-ramp!
Please people – about time you learn the basic rules of the road and FOLLOW THEM.
