DA Cllr Vernon Pillay of KwaDukuza writes:
Having gone through these feelings in the past due to teen infatuations and being unable to deal with getting and coping with the fallout of epilepsy, suicidal thoughts were an unlikely friend in my life.
I sought psychological and spiritual help to a stage of heart and headspace where I find solace today. Why I am opening up this way is because I did hit emotional rock bottom and was on the verge of suicide.
Please look at this as a storm which you CAN pass. If this storm is loneliness during the festive season or living up to someone else’s expectations, peer pressure and failure in love or exams, trust your inner resilience.
Remember this; “Once you start talking about what is killing your spirit, no matter how you may think people may see you, you will feel hope swell within.”
Help is only a phone call away, SMS or Whatsapp away.

If you are playing the “What if’s” game with yourself then if you kill yourself now, what if your destiny of complete and utter happiness and fulfillment is just a tomorrow away?
Take it from me, therapy helps!
