Cllr Vernon Pillay of KwaDukuza is delighted:
South Africa has done it again, then done it… again.
Besides winning the Rugby World Cup (RWC) 2019 in Japan, the Blitzbokke beat the ol’ enemy, New Zealand 15 – 0 in the Dubai Sevens.
Our women’s national netball team being on top of Africa is a prelude to them becoming world beaters.
Then Miss SA, Zozibini Tunzi became the 68th Miss Universe, and third South African to win the coveted title this past Sunday.
Life is stranger than fiction and SA are trailblazers in that they secured their third RWC and their third Miss Universe respectively in the last quarter of this decade.
How great this would look in the Gran Turismo Sport video game almanac as the 2019 graphic comes up. 2020 here we come.
