On Wednesday January 8, my husband Clive and I went shopping to the Woolworths at Lifestyle Centre in Ballito. We parked opposite the Capitec Bank.
Upon returning to our car, a security guard alerted us to a bad puncture we had sustained somewhere between home and Ballito, unbeknown to us of course!
My husband commented to me that he had not changed a tyre in years, nevertheless we proceeded to start the job.
Two very well attired, white shirted employees of Capitec bank saw our predicament and promptly came to our rescue without any bidding.
The Good Samaritans, Donovan and Preston decided to assist us despite their pristine white shirts and formal black pants.
One Samaritan removed the spare tyre from the boot whilst the other popped the nuts of the flat tyre.
My husband and I were gobsmacked and just looked on in amazement as these two young men worked in tandem with each other!
They didn’t even bother that their clothes may get messed! The tyre was changed and the damaged one was even placed in the boot!
It lifted our hearts to encounter people like Donovan and Preston who shine a bright light in our bleak scenario!
We have no words to describe such gracious magnitude but THANK YOU, THANK YOU would have to suffice!
So, as we go into the new decade, we are gladdened that we met a pair of good Samaritans, Donovan and Preston, to remind us that there is GOOD in our world.
Once again, we want to place on record our humblest and heartfelt gratitude to Donovan and Preston!
We wish you God’s richest blessings and protection always. We hope that we can pay in forward when the opportunity arises!
