With the coming of winter, are our politicians adequately prepared for a mass epidemic crisis of many people becoming sick at one time from the coronavirus?
Planning should not be costly.
Tony Blair, ex-prime minister in the United Kingdom, said his priority was for the treating of people for the coronavirus.
I think that having plans for the availability of adequate oxygen ventilators to cater for the many people becoming sick at one time is more important.
Ventilators could possibly be borrowed or hired en-mass from a country like China whom appear to have passed through the peak of the coronavirus crisis.
The coronavirus however could mutate and become a secondary crisis in China.
Our politicians can only inquire.
Our politicians did not plan or prepare adequately with electrical power production.
They could have acquired many electrical solar panels to introduce sufficient electricity to prevent electrical power outages.
This may have initially been expensive but it would have and can still contribute to the reduction in global warming.
The value of our rand to the dollar, however, now looks sick.
Let’s hope we now don’t have electrical power outages this winter because of the lockdown of many industries.
