This year seems to have flown by and it is quite surreal to think that we are knocking on 2021’s door.
What a year it has been.
While the attention has been on a pandemic which has changed the way we do many things, like work, play and learn, service delivery has to continue.
Residents will have seen some activity happening with regards to the repairing of the streetlights in the greater Ballito area.
The fact that this has taken almost 3 years of continual moaning to action, makes it worthwhile.
There are a number of different issues that relate to the streetlights – bulbs, day/night switches and cable damage.
There can be no doubt that crime does increase where streets are in perpetual darkness.
It has been wonderful to see holidaymakers back in Ballito, enjoying our fantastic coastline and stimulating our local economy.
Please use our facilities responsibly and respect the relevant bylaws.
We are the jewel of KwaDukuza, and we must ensure that our tourists want to come back.
We are still in a State of Disaster and must comply with the relevant guidelines as stipulated by government.
I would like to take this opportunity to wish the community and visitors a restful and safe festive season.
May 2021 be a bit kinder on us all!
