On Saturday morning about 11am my wife Liliane (83) and I were having coffee at Piccadilly at The Junction.
Liliane got up to go and check something and tripped over the big pedestal of an umbrella and fell badly.
She could not stand up and was in agony, she also hit her head hard against the wall and had a big gash on her forehead.
What followed was amazing. Within seconds people around us sprung up to assist us, total strangers to us but they were there, calling the paramedics, assisting my wife to get on a chair.
Two strong men picked her up with the chair to put her in the shade.
To the staff of Piccadilly thank you.
Within minutes the medics were there tending to her, getting her comfortable and on a stretcher to take her to Alberlito hospital.
To all of you who assisted my wife of 62 years and who is very dear to me, I say a huge thank you.
I am very grateful. To Daniel and his IPSS paramedics team, thank you for your good care.
To the Alberlito emergency staff and in particular Dr Raymond who tended to Liliane, I also say a big thank you.
From the reception to the radiology, all of you, thank you.
Yesterday Liliane had a hip replacement and I trust that all will go well.
Once again, to all of you a big thank you!
