Nelson Puckree of KwaDukuza writes:
It’s good to see the community of KwaDukuza spoilt for choice with political parties and aspiring candidates.
Some of these candidates in my opinion are Hoi Polloi and failures whilst a few have the knowledge to rebuild and save our town from falling into further deterioration.
There are a few candidates who were long overdue.
We need councillors that can think on their feet, able to debate and economics.
These are the best to represent ratepayers: Ward 16 – Cyril Pandaram, a long-serving community worker and a pastor; Ward 17 – Jason Chunder, a silent community worker; Ward 19 – Haroon Mohommedy, a son of this soil who has been leading from the front in all issues affecting the community of Stanger for over 50 years where others failed.
As for the other wards I cannot comment as I’m not familiar with the other candidates, although I can confidently say that the ANC will win 24 wards of the 30 with DA, ActionSA and IFP 2 each.
As for the PR candidates, let’s not make the same mistake and vote for parties that failed to deliver or parties that put families and friends in the top 3 for a win-win.
Councillor M.S Sing has captured the DA to an extent that he is now trying to create a Sing dynasty putting his friend, son and nephew in the top 3.
As for ActionSA, husband and wife are at number 1 and 3.
This is gatekeeping.
Beware these are cowboys and crooks waiting for your gullible votes.
Please don’t cut off your nose to spite your face and live with regrets for the next 5 years.
The choice for the change you want lies with you alone.
