#Letter: Fathers must also face the music

"How about finding out who he is and holding him accountable for his role in this tragedy" - Joey Habgood.

Joey Habgood of Westbrook writes:

It was heartbreaking to read the Courier report (Newborn baby abandoned in pit latrine, 12 January) of yet another innocent life lost.

The police spokesman said both teen mom and her mother were arrested for “concealment of birth”.

My question is, what about the father of this child? The young teen mom didn’t get pregnant by herself.

How about finding out who he is and holding him accountable for his role in this tragedy.

It really angers me as it seems like it’s always the girls who are forced to face the music while the boys get off scot-free.
