#Letter: Zimbali Rotary lauds public support

"A fundraising initiative of this magnitude also requires much forward planning, involvement, support and sponsorships from businesses and individuals" - Kosh Thaver.

President of the Rotary Club of Zimbali, Kosh Thaver, writes:

On behalf of the members of the Rotary Club of Zimbali, I wish to thank the community of Ballito and surrounding areas for their support in once again purchasing the freshly-cut Christmas trees we had on sale in December.

Our organisation’s mission is to help the underprivileged in our local community and with the public’s generous support, the funds raised from this initiative will help us fund our community service projects that address many of today’s most critical issues such as children at risk, poverty, hunger, illiteracy and the lack of water and sanitation.

Simply put, if it wasn’t for faithful supporters like you, we as a service organisation wouldn’t exist.

A fundraising initiative of this magnitude also requires much forward planning, involvement, support and sponsorships from businesses and individuals.

In this regard, I would also like to place on record our sincere thanks and appreciation to: The Quarter Boutique Shopping Centre for the use of their premises to conduct the sale of the trees; Form-Scaff Ballito for loan of their equipment; The North Coast Courier for their loyal support with media coverage of our events; and the PR Agencies textile company for their sponsorship and assistance with all the logistics and the services of its diligent employee, Nkosinathi Nene.
