Bloom fund-raiser exceeds expectations

Bloom special needs school held a golf day fund-raiser last Thursday to a show of phenomenal support. The school, earmarked for Ballito, is currently in its planning phase and the funds raised will go towards building and development costs.
The day was well attended, sporting 80 players who were dressed up to the nines to enjoy 18 holes of golf. Numerous companies sponsored holes and the auction alone raised in excess of R50 000.
“We were blown away, people were very generous. It’s given us the kick we need going into the next year,” said Bloom’s Nicola Stirton.
The winning four ball of the day comprised of Grant Hazell, Brian Alborough, Shane Blewitt and Bobby Deutschmann.
