BSS meet Legends

Ballito and North Coast Brazilian Soccer Schools (BSS) players received a rare opportunity to meet some legends of the game last week.
The youngsters were selected by the ITM Group as ball-boys for the Liverpool and Kaizer Chiefs Legends match. The exhibition match took place at the Moses Mabhida Stadium on Saturday, November 16 and featured some of the greatest names in the respective clubs’ histories. The game itself was a goal-fest and enthralled spectators were kept on the edge of their seats until the final whistle ended match in a five-all draw.
The BSS players grabbed their opportunity with both hands as they excelled in their ball-boy duties  in front of a packed stadium of fanatical supporters. The youngsters started to juggle the ball at half time, which had the crowd applauding and the TV commentators praising their skills.
BSS also facilitated a development coaching session at Siphosethu Primary School where pupils were coached by the Liverpool and Chiefs Legends. The former professional footballers had only the  highest of praise for the skill level of the BSS students, commenting that some of them will no doubt themselves grace football’s biggest stages one day.
