The North Coast has its very own 11-a-side soccer club.
The Ballito Football Club (BFC) is based at Sugar Rush Park and currently sports a senior men’s side, boys U/10 and a boys U/15 development side from the Footy African Bank soccer programme.
The teams have been playing in the Durban league for the last six months and on September 1 the club hosted its first official home league game at Sugar Rush park.
The BFC U/15 team played against Supersport United Soccer Schools.
The game was played in good spirit and all the competitors played their hearts out in front of their cheering home spectators.
BFC won the game 4 – 0 and capped off an historic day for the young club.
The club is currently working on including more age groups as well as girls soccer to start soon.
