Entries are pouring in for the popular December Lizzard Hurricane Summer Surf, which is being held at Umhlanga Main Beach on December 10 and 11.

Local Ballito surfer Jaco Kapp who is preparing for the competition, has been very busy balancing his work, family and surfing life.
“Despite having such a lot to do I am still very competitive in my surfing and have had some good results this year,” said Kapp.
Jaco runs the local North Coast Boardriders Surfing Club in Ballito and is very passionate about growing the club and encouraging new young talent.
He also has a challenging career heading up the financial division of an international company based on the North Coast and developing his skills as a tax specialist.
Add to that taking care of his seven-month-old son Griffen and his lovely wife Bronwyn.
“I am a proud member of the Ethekwini (KZN) Surf team and I’m hoping for a good result at the Lizzard contest against the top surfers in the country.”
“Of course, a share of the R10 000 prize money also wouldn’t hurt.”
Kapp says he cannot wait to teach his son Griffen how to surf when he is old enough.
