First ladies cross Comrades Marathon finish line
The ladies are hot on the heels of the men at this year's Comrades Marathon.
Just under an hour after the winning South African man crossed the Comrades Marathon finish line, the USA claimed the title as the first lady to finish with a time of 06:27:35.
Camille Herron from the USA was closely followed by Russia’s Alexandra Morozova at 06:31:45 and the first South African lady to complete the race came in third as Charne Bosman made it in 06:39:51. Bosman was last year’s race winner: “Today was one of the toughest days of my life, but I am happy to be the first South African woman home.”

Ballito’s domestic worker, Veronica Mtetwa, who has made running her passion and completed two Comrades is steadily making her way to Pietermartizburg.
