Andrew was up for the challenge at the Husqvarna Classic Mid-Illovo MTB Challenge and Trail Run.
Putting the pedal to the metal, local cyclist Andrew Johnson claimed another podium finish over the weekend.
Johnson took third place in the Husqvarna Classic Mid-Illovo MTB Challenge and Trail Run.
The series leader so far, Johnson claimed third position just 29-seconds behind the winner, Julian Jessop.
His third position in Sunday’s second leg of the series, combined with his win in the opening leg at Wartburg in February, ensures he will hold top spot in the race for South Africa’s richest prize for a mountain bike series going into the next event.
Second place in the 60km event went to Tyronne White after Jessop beat him in a dash to the finishing line.
