A sweet ride at the Holla Sugar Rush Classic

One of the most heart-warming wins of the day was 18-year-old Nhlanhla Mthembu.

Big and small pedalled as hard as they could as they raced through the sugar cane at the Holla Sugar Rush Classic fuelled by Land Rover Ballito on Sunday.

One of the most heart-warming wins of the day was 18-year-old Nhlanhla Mthembu.

Riding out of the Shakaskraal Cycling Academy, Mthembu has only been riding a bicycle for two months and could not believe it when he won his first ever mountain bike race.

The enthusiastic cyclist was taken under the wing of popular local rider, Sanele Shabalala and has proven that he has natural talent.
