Fishing with heart at Dudley Pringle Dam
Over R30 188 was raised towards helping orphaned and vulnerable individuals across the Dolphin Coast.
The true fisherman scoffs at wet weather – after all, you’re already going to get wet.
This was certainly evident at Dudley Pringle dam on Monday for the Palm Lakes Family Estate Fishing Fun Day, in aid of The North Coast Courier Orphan Fund, which was attended by 116 fishermen and their families.
Fishermen came from far and wide to drop a line in this dam famous for its good fishing.
There was tasty food on the offer from the crew from Imballito Hope College. Dozens of lucky draw prizes were handed out and when all was said and done everyone left feeling like a winner.
The day was sponsored by Palm Lakes Family Estate, together with Tongaat Hulett, Shayamanzi Houseboats and Basil Manning.

Over R30 188 was raised towards helping orphaned and vulnerable individuals across the Dolphin Coast.
Peter Cameron from title sponsor Palm Lakes Family Estate said they were thrilled with the turnout and the community spirit of the event.
“Like this event our estate is synonymous with family and creating community. Thank you to the Courier too for fostering community spirit through your paper and your events.”
