Golf day puts away cash for Dolphin Coast park restoration
Hilary Drive Park is in desperate need of a jungle gym, new benches and swings.
A phenomenal R82 000 was raised toward reviving local parks at the RE/MAX Dolphin Realtors Golf Day at Umhlali Country Club last Friday.
“Every year the company chooses one charitable cause to support. This year we are putting our efforts and weight behind trying to uplift community parks in Ballito and Salt Rock,” said broker owner Simon Peacock.
It was their second fundraising event for the year.

“It was a big success. We had a full house, with 120 players. We raised about R82 000,” said Peacock.

Peacock said he grew up on the North Coast and remembers what the parks used to look like.
“We think they need a face lift, we want to breathe new life into them.”
They plan to start with Hilary Drive Park, which is in desperate need of a jungle gym, new benches and swings.
