Manor Cricket Club started its season with a positive note as they won by 31 runs against the challenge league contenders Dawnheights Cricket Club last weekend.
Manor was all out in the 20th over scoring only 104 and in response, Dawn Heights were bowled out for 74 in 16 overs due to some excellent performance by Saieshan Loganathan who used his bowlers skills well.
The pick of Manor bowlers was Ali Sher, who was in good form with figures of four overs, eight wickets for nine runs including a hattrick in the last over.

The only batsman to reach double figures for the Dawn Heights was Yousuf Banda with 11 runs.
The Manor outfit must be commended for some excellent bowling backed up by brilliant fielding and notably an outstanding one-handed full stretched diving catch by Desigan Pillay to get rid of Indian import S Chaudry at mid-wicket of the bowling of R Mhlongo. Manor won the match by 31 runs.
