Ethica triathlon was a huge hit

It wasn't all fitness though, with We Move Active owner and event organiser, Paula Martini, explaining that the goal of the triathlon was also to raise awareness regarding several social issues.

Ballito’s first ever holistic-approach-based triathlon which was recently held at Crawford College North Coast was a huge hit with many lovers of yoga, meditation and fitness turning up at 5.30am.

It wasn’t all fitness though, with We Move Active owner and event organiser, Paula Martini, explaining that the goal of the triathlon was also to raise awareness regarding several social issues.

One such issue saw Paula decide to get into a partnership with Subz, a non-profit organisation which combats the lack of access to sanitary wear for schoolgirls.

A portion of the funds raised through ticket sales for the triathlon went to Subz.

The triathlon was dubbed ‘Ethica’ because Paula says that she and her team are focused on the ethical value of everything they do in business, something which she explained her sponsors share as well.

Needless to say, the triathlon was well supported and, Paula looks forward to running more such triathlons on a quarterly basis.

“Thanks to the joint effort of all our partners, we managed to raise some R3000 and participants also walked away with some great prizes,” said an enthusiastic Paula.
