Dolphins shine at Ignition Oldies
Club captain Nic Acampora was the first Dolphin home while Michelle Olivier was the first Dolphin lady home.
The Dolphin Striders runners came out in their numbers to take part in the Ignition Oldies 10km road race on Sunday, November 10.
The annual event, hosted by DHS Old Boys Athletics Club started from Northwood Crusaders Sports Club and took runners on a hilly 10km route around the suburbs of Durban North.
Club captain Nic Acampora was the first Dolphin home while Michelle Olivier was the first Dolphin lady home.
Nic secured an 18th overall position while Michelle’s performance saw her finishing 13th in the ladies category and 45th overall.
Philip Van Gaas (73) is proof that you do not have to slow down with age. He claimed fourth position in the over 60 age-category in an impressive time of 58:31.
