Dance your heart out
Each line dance performed had its own set of unique challenges and dancers were complimented for the hard work they put into perfecting the routines and dance styles.
Performing at their very best during the 2019 South African Dance Teachers’ Association North Coast line dance competition recently, competitors took home a haul of medals.
A total of 18 students from Ballito JK Dance Studio were examined and, the event started with the first-timers in the social bronze level.
Meanwhile, more experienced dancers continued into the bronze bar, bronze medal, silver bar, silver medal, gold bar, gold medal and golden scroll events.
Three received honours while 15 achieved highly commended awards.
Four other dance studios also took part at the dance medal tests.
Ballito JK Dance Studio thanked Fuso Dance Studio, Dance In Line, Dance Magic and Solo Rhythm for joining them on the day.
Marks were awarded for music appreciation, performance, footwork and arm posture techniques.

Competing proved difficult for some with the recent passing-away of fellow silver medal dance competitor, Lynnette Petzer.
Needless to say, everyone danced in her memory.
Lynnette passed away two weeks before the competition.
