Karate body warns to take action against clubs failing to comply with regulations
KSA has made a submission to the Sport Department asking that some 400 karate clubs be given the go ahead to reopen.
Karate South Africa (KSA) is appealing to all karate clubs across the country not to rush into the reopening of clubs, but rather wait until regulations have been gazetted.
President of KSA, Sonny Pillay said clubs should first ensure that they are well informed on Covid-19 compliance regulations and that every coach and instructor be certified in terms of the KSA Combat Covid-19 knowledge test.
“KSA will not leave anything to chance and will act against any karate instructor that is not compliant and is found placing its athletes lives at risk,” said Pillay.
Pillay said they would report any non-compliant instructors and coaches to health authorities.
