Umhlali Country Club’s tennis team hosted the Hillcrest 1st side last weekend, breaking their number 1 seed’s unbeaten record.

Both Dan Martin and Kevin Essery won both of their matches breaking their rival Doug Grobler’s unbeaten record at the same time.

Kevin learnt the hard way that squash shoes are not designed for tennis courts and wore through his new pair of shoes in just two weeks – school fee’s Kev.

This Sunday, the UCC team travelled to Winsor Club to play against the Coastal Breeze side.
