Dolphin Coast Striders go the distance
In its 5th year the Jump Start programme, founded by Sarah Swainson, is designed to take new and "fallen off the bandwagon" runners from 0km to 10km in just 13 weeks.
Considered one the most life changing events on the Dolphin Coast Striders calendar, the annual Jump Start programme drew to an emotional finale on Saturday when more than 50 runners ran their first 10km race.
In its 5th year the Jump Start programme, founded by Sarah Swainson, is designed to take new and “fallen off the bandwagon” runners from 0km to 10km in just 13 weeks.

Seasoned club runners followed the Beat-your-Best programme pushing their fitness to the next level by working towards personal best times for the 10km.
Decked in the Dolphin Striders club colours, the morning runners gathered outside Concha, which hosted the event in time for a 5.30am start.

The format this year also included support from the Jump Start champions – experienced club runners who provided support and mentorship during the 13 week programme.
On the ground support from sponsors RE/MAX Dolphin Realtors cemented the success of the event.
