Under-18s invited to get swinging for Summerhill House
Although charity golf fundraisers are a familiar sight, the 'One Ball One Life' event will see exclusively Under-18 golfers taking to the field.
A first of its kind golf day is coming to Simbithi Country Club on May 30, where children will play in support of children in need at Summerhill House.
Although charity golf fundraisers are a familiar sight, the ‘One Ball One Life’ event will see exclusively Under-18 golfers taking to the field.
“We are so excited to be holding this unique event, where children can really help their peers and have fun at the same time,” said Tshidi Dludlu, marketing and fundraising manager for Summerhill House.
Parents are allowed to accompany their kids and walk the course, but no over-18s will be allowed to play.
The entry cost is R400 per person, or R1 600 for a fourball – this includes green fees, dinner and the prizes.
With Covid-19 restrictions lessening, there is no hard cap on the amount of entrants.
They are looking for sponsors for the event and prizes.
