Karate South Africa ladies fighting fit and ready for championships in Tongaat
The championships is set to run from August 27 to 29 at the Tongaat Sports Centre and will include some National All Styles Karate practitioners.
Protea ladies and Karate South Africa (KSA) fighters are gearing up for the Elite and South African Champs in Tongaat this weekend.
The ladies this weekend past wrapped up their final training in preparation of the championships, with Protea coach, Brando Pillay adding that they will be pursuing nothing but glory at the championships.
The championships is set to run from August 27 to 29 at the Tongaat Sports Centre and will include some National All Styles Karate practitioners.
“This annual gathering of the top-ranked fighters in the country will, as always, be deemed the battle of the ‘best of the best’ in the karate arena,” said KSA tournament director Leo Cuitto.
Local clubs are hoping for good performances from the North Coast’s top fighters – Reddy siblings Tahira and Kira, Ria Govender, Ash Ramnarain and Zamil Muric.
