Chad flies into 6th place at SA Interprovincial Eventing champs

The Ashton International College Ballito pupil said he had been extremely proud to represent KZN at the championships, held at Mooi River's Oaksprings Horse Trails.

Ballito’s Chad Hoggan returned from the South African Interprovincial Eventing Champs with a solid 6th position after taking gold at the Emmatt Eventing Interprovincial at Shongweni in October.

The 17-year-old Chad was the only horse rider from the KZN Junior Novice team to compete in all three disciplines on October 22, where others were either eliminated or forced to retire owing to injuries.

The Ashton International College Ballito pupil said he had been extremely proud to represent KZN at the championships, held at Mooi River’s Oaksprings Horse Trails.

“It has been an incredible journey this year and having a horse that always tries his hardest for you makes it all worthwhile,” Chad said, also extending thanks to his team for their constant support.

The KZN team were awarded silver, placing second behind Gauteng.
