Fresh look for Darnall cricket squad
Club chairman Mukesh Maharaj expressed his appreciation to the Mohanlall family for the welcome support.
Things are looking up at the Darnall Cricket Club, where players will walk onto the field sporting brand new playing kits.
This was thanks to a donation by Kishore Mohanlall on behalf of the late Mr and Mrs Roop Mohanlall of Darnall.
At the handover ceremony held on Saturday, players were encouraged to keep working hard and give their best on the field.
Mohanlall praised the club and said Darnall had a history of producing great sportsmen in all sporting codes.
He encouraged the players to maintain discipline and respect for the gentlemen’s game.
Club chairman Mukesh Maharaj expressed his appreciation to the Mohanlall family for the welcome support.
He also encouraged others to come on board and assist the club.
iLembe Cricket Union president, Desigan Pillay, encouraged the youth and schools to become actively involved in the sport.
