Ballito FC teams strike early form
Ballito FC narrowly missed an unbeaten opening weekend, but will still be proud of the results as they shake off the rust.
Ballito’s top young footballers relished the opportunity of getting back into action in the first fixtures of the season on Sunday.
With most of their games played at the Ballito FC home ground at Ashton International College, players aged U7 through to U17 showed off their new skills honed over the summer.
The youngest teams played away at Virginia, but proved that home ground advantage meant little.

A 10-1 trouncing of Virginia for the U7s set the tone for the day, with the U8s (6-0) and U9Bs (11-4) against AlFalaah also winning comfortably.
The U9As fought out a well-earned draw (4-4) against a strong Bayview team.
Back home in Ballito, the U10s (1-0) and U11s (1-0) both held their nerve against Fynnlands and DH7 respectively.

Two further wins, the U12s beating Ibutho Sport 2-0 and the U13As outclassing Morningside Alex 5-0, kept the ball rolling.
Unfortunately, the travelling Zethembe side was too strong for the U13Bs, who lost 0-5 in the only loss of the day.
The U15s righted the ship in an enthralling game against Collegians.

After going one nil down before sneaking one back before the break, they scored five unanswered goals in the second half to win 6-1.
This included an imperious performance from hat-trick hero, midfielder Jonathan Dayani.

Rounding off a great first full day of fixtures were the U17s, who edged out Villa Park 2-1.
Ballito FC will play every Sunday until the completion of their league fixtures.
