Skaters tear it up for top honours at Ballito Pro Skate Jam

Held at the Hilary Park Skate Bowl, the Skate Jam presented by Volcom, Fallen & Groundswell Skate & Surf will be showcasing some epic skating talent.

It’s all eyes on the Ballito Pro Skate Jam this evening as skaters battle it out for first place in their respective age groups.

This is the second year the Skate Jam is being held.

Event organiser and O’Neill South Africa brand director, Paul Canning, said they were stoked to be holding the event again. “We really feel it’s going to be a set fixture of The Ballito Pro, growing massively in the years to come.

“It’s a big drawcard and a real hit among the local kids who skate the Ballito Bowl,” he said.

Some epic prizes are up for grabs in both boys and girls divisions in the Groms and Open Division.

Serving as the main attraction for the evening, the Open Division boasts prizes which include a cash prize of R7 500, with the best trick taking R2 500.
