Body-boarders shred up Tiffany’s Beach in NC-Brag competition

A versatile playground for body-boarders, Tiffany's reef offers variations fit for novice and pro riders alike.

About 30 body-boarders took to the waves at Tiffany’s Beach to battle it out for their share of cash and prizes to the value of R5 000.

Riders from Westbrook through to Tinley Manor dropped in for the NC-Brag competition on Saturday morning, initially without a breeze in the air.

But weather conditions predicted otherwise and soon, there were plenty of waves to choose from.

A versatile playground for body-boarders, Tiffany’s reef offers variations fit for novice and pro riders alike.

In as little as 5 hours, novices, intermediates, along with contenders from the open and Ballie divisions were done.

Lola Wang, who scored first place in the ladies novice division.

Claiming the open division was Mark McCarthy, who narrowly defeated Janek Ferrandi.

Winners in the boys and girls novice divisions included Nathan Ivey and Lola Wang, while intermediate was claimed by Tristan Hubbard.

Sean Muller claimed the best Ballie category while Tristan also scored best wave of the day.
