A unique 5km race in the heart of Ballito
Blistering through the course were Sphiwe Dube and Thembelani Nyandeni who finished first, but the overwhelming spirit of the day was that runners of all fitness levels were welcome.

Ballito runners had free rein of the Ballito Junction parking areas on Saturday, enjoying a self-contained 5km run at the mall.
The unusual course gave those running a unique opportunity to take on an urban challenge, doing two loops of each parking level before returning up the ramp to the finish.

The run was held in conjunction with the Dolphin Coast Striders and TradeRoot Active, with all proceeds going to the Salt40 Foundation.

“We are really proud to be partnering with these groups and to have such a good turnout for our first event of this kind. Thank you to all the sponsors that came out,” said mall spokesperson, Sashena Rampersad.
