Golfers go Tight and Bright to support needy communities

The club expressed its gratitude to the many sponsors who came on board to support the initiative.

The Umhlali Country Club golf ladies hit the course in style and colour recently to support charity.

The Tight & Bright themed day was dedicated to La Mercy-based Missions Ablaze that support needy communities.

Volunteers dedicate their time to feed thousands of destitute people around the Tongaat area every week by sourcing “best before” produce from retail outlets for distribution.

The club expressed its gratitude to the many sponsors who came on board to support the initiative.

Claiming the Best Dressed prize were Terry Fenton-Wells, Tracylee Raison, Fiona Crago and Joan Solms.

The competition itself saw the foursome of Caroline Osburn, Sue Ellis, Sharon Bower and Jackindi Nicola claim top spot with 86 points.

Second on 82 points were E Byrne, J Reid, M Evans and N Taylor, with G Hickman, P Reich, A Drummond and S O’Halloran finishing third on 80 points.
