Umhlali CC’s women golfers came out swinging for the May Medal competition, competing for coveted month-long bragging rights.

Played across three divisions, winners were picked on their combined nett (score with handicap included) and gross scores, with the copper division using a points system.

In the silver division, Charmaine Bruwer took the spoils, with Shelley Sykes finishing a close second.

Alix de Matta won the bronze division title ahead of runner-up Carolynne Speirs.

The copper division was claimed by Gill Lonsdale who edged out Fiona Crago on a count-out after both scored 33 points.

Jill Bullock was awarded the ‘Putter of the Month’ prize.
