Umhlali Country Club women golfers win local battle
The regular Thursday section competition ran concurrently and saw Paddi Reich earn top honours on 41 points.
Umhlali Country Club’s women’s league team bested their rivals from the north, Simbithi Country Club, in their weekday league match last Thursday.
Teeing off at home at UCC proved to be vital for the team whose win will provide good momentum heading forward in the league.
League matches are played weekly between North Coast and Durban-based clubs.
The regular Thursday section competition ran concurrently and saw Paddi Reich earn top honours on 41 points.
Sue Conlan grabbed second on 38, while Glenda Hickman took third on 36 after a count out against fourth placed Ann Palmer.
