Participants came out swinging in support of a good cause.

North Coast ladies came out swinging to raise over R17 000 for The North Coast Courier Orphan Fund at the weekend.

They did so at the inaugural GetIt Magazine ladies padel tournament at Karibu Padel in Umhlali, competing over two sessions on Saturday morning.

Timera Ramlal and MC Shaina-Rae Bauwens.

Luci Calha reigned supreme in the early slot, after which Jacqui Wickham claimed the second session honours.

Both ladies won a fabulous prize which included a high tea for two at The Oyster Box, a bottle of Pongrácz Pinot Noir, and a R500 voucher for Karibu Padel.

Kas and Vinny Patel with Ruksha Maharaj and Daria Afanasovskaia.

Everyone in the field went home with a stacked goodie bag after enjoying plenty of mimosas and snacks along the way.

It was not just the champagne and padel action keeping spirits high, as East Coast Radio presenter and MC for the day, Shaina-Rae Bauwens, ensured the atmosphere was upbeat throughout.

Morning session winner Luci Calha celebrates with her prize.

Orphan Fund co-ordinator Charmaine Premlal thanked the GetIt team for their continued support and Bauwens and Karibu Padel for their help during the event.
