Adhir and Sandhir Maharaj claimed a tense final win to earn overall honours in the VAMOS! Padel League.

Decided over seven games, the league drew eight two-man teams from across the North Coast, with games hosted by the VAMOS Padel Club at Zimbali Oasis. Things were close at the top of the league standings entering the final games last week, with three pairs in the running for the title.

“The final matchday showdown was a nail-biter, as Adhir and Sandhir pulled off a must win game that propelled them from 2nd into 1st position,” said VAMOS Padel Club’s Tashen Ramchund.

Throughout the league, participants displayed exceptional talent and sportsmanship, making every match an exhilarating experience for spectators.”

Adhir and Sandhir finished with five wins, one draw and one loss, enough for 16 points, one more than the two chasing pairs who finished tied on 15.

“The club aims to grow the league even bigger and better next year with two divisions!” said Ramchund.
