Tee time with the Poor Old Boys
The 25-year-old golf society plays twice weekly and is free to join.
A pleasant day out is the aim of a golf society that has been thriving on the North Coast for more than 25 years.
If you are over 50 years of age, love golf and would like to make new friends, then the Poor Old Boys Society (POBs) at Umhlali Country Club is just right for you.
Organiser Brian McKerchar is passionate about the POB Society who play at Umhlali Country Club every Monday and Wednesday.
“At POB’s we believe in more than just a great round of golf, we are about fostering camaraderie, promoting a friendly yet competitive spirit and creating lasting memories both on and off the course.
“Every outing is not only an opportunity to improve your game, but also to enjoy the company of fellow golf enthusiasts. The emphasis is on enjoyment and having fun while indulging in your passion to play the game,” said Brian.
No POB’s subscriptions or advance bookings are required. Just arrive, enjoy a preferential green fee and fourballs are made up at random. Balls in on Mondays at 6.45am and Wednesdays at 10.45am.
